Leased in April 2011, by cultural producers Frederico Reder and Juliana Reder, from Brainstorming Entertainment, after more than ten years without activities, the Teatro Tereza Rachel had its renovation started in the same year and intensified in January 2012. Its architectural project was designed by José Dias, Brazil's leading theater revitalization specialist. And NET has the official sponsor.

Forty years after its first inauguration, the theater reopens its curtains on the day 4 April 2012, with artistic and business class guests, with the show “BIBI - Stories and Songs”, in which Bibi Ferreira celebrates her 90 years of life and 70 career years. The space has two rooms, being the biggest, Sala Tereza Rachel, with capacity for more than 622 places and the smallest, Paulo Pontes Room, with 100 places. Theatro NET Rio aims to be the stage for all the arts.
