The 19 of August, 1933 was born in the Factory of Vista Alegre Carlos Vitorino, a man with the destiny already traced: spread throughout the world the beauty of art stored in your hands.
He studied up to the fourth grade and 10 years worked at the Vista Alegre factory, where his mother Adelia Franco was a sculptor and his father José Vitorino was a painter. He began taking drawing classes one hour a day with Professor Otelo Moreira and painting with Prof.. palmyrus fish, but after seeing his dedication and skill they increased his study hours, then arriving at 17 years to occupy the position of special painter of the Vista Alegre factory.
In 1958 arrived in Brazil, specifically in Sao Paulo, with his wife and son 9 months. Began working in Sao Caetano ceramics, but after a time, he went to work only with white crockery. so he went to Guarulhos where he had a business and soon after he went to work for Volkswagen as a maintenance painter, but his achievement was painting tiles panels for houses decoration.
In 1974 went to portugal, he thought for a moment to take the family again, now with three children, but the country was affected due to the change of government, So he decided to stay in Brazil and start teaching painting classes in China at home.. Over time he was invited to participate in an international exhibition at the Gloria Hotel and such was his success that he also began teaching classes in Rio de Janeiro., three times a week. The Rio-Sao Paulo route resisted for many months to have an accident on the Vía Dutra highway, and this time he was forced to make a decision in his life and career: Rio or Sao Paulo. came to the conclusion, together with his family, The best thing would be to reach everyone towards the “Wonderful City”, that was already his passion. They did it. Carlos Vitorino already had lessons given in the homes of students in Rio and painting associations in Niteroi, but that he opened his own studio in Copacabana, where he taught every day.
Over time we were collecting very important honors and titles., since he received the 17/11/1980 of Mr.. Alvarenga Dilson Meneses. He was given the title of Carioca Citizen in Rio de Janeiro City.
