no day 19 August 1933 was born in the Vista Alegre Factory Carlos Vitorino, a man with destiny already mapped out: spread around the world the beauty of art stored in your hands.
He studied until the fourth grade and 10 years has been working in the Factory of Vista Alegre, where his mother Adelia Franco was a sculptor and his father José Vitorino was a painter. He began taking drawing lessons with a daily hour with Professor Otelo Moreira and painting with Professor Palmiro Fish , but as soon as they saw their dedication and skill were increasing their hours of study ,then coming to 17 years to occupy a special position painter Factory of Vista Alegre .
In 1958 He arrived in Brazil, more precisely to Sao Paulo with his wife and son 9 months. He began working in ceramics São Caetano but, after some time, He went to work only with white crockery. then it went to Guarulhos where he had a business and soon after went to work for Volkswagen as maintenance painter, but his achievement was to paint panels tiles for homes decoration.
In 1974 was Portugal, thought for a moment take the family back, now with three children, but the country was afflicted due to change of government , then he decided to stay in Brazil and start giving painting lessons on porcelain at home. Over time he was invited to participate in an international exhibition at the Hotel Gloria and size was its success that started to give classes also in Rio de Janeiro, three times a week. The Rio-São Paulo path resisted for many months to have an accident on the road Via Dutra, and this time he was forced to make a decision in your life and in your career: Rio or São Paulo. We came to the conclusion, with his family, it best to come all towards the "Marvelous City", that it was his great passion. They did. Carlos Vitorino had already given lessons in students homes in Rio and paint associations in Niterói, but that he opened his own studio in Copacabana, where she taught every day.
Over time we were collecting honors and extremely important titles, as it received in 17/11/1980 Mr Alvarenga Dilson Meneses. He was given the title of Citizen of Carioca Rio de Janeiro City.
Professor Vitorino was invited to participate in exhibitions and giving seminars throughout Brazil as in the cities of Brasilia , Belo Horizonte , Victory , Campinas , Goiás ,Lawn among other. Outside was the United States, where he won beautiful prizes with his magnificent work "The Chinese Wedding". Em Rion (France) in the year of 1981 It was considered the best painter of all time, reaching the disputed Special Jury Prize and the "Grand Prix" with the work "The Old Man" who is in Ilhavo City Maritime Museum in Portugal .
