The Persian carpet (in Pahlavi Bob [1] Persian Fars فرش, meaning “extend” and Qali) [2] is an essential part of Persian art and culture. The carpet weaving is undoubtedly one of the most distinguished manifestations of Persian culture and art, and dates back to ancient Persia.

The luxury, which are associated with Persian rugs, forms a striking contrast to its modest origin among the nomadic tribes of Persia. The carpet was a well needed to protect themselves from the harsh winter. Later, it became a means of artistic expression for freedom which mainly offers a choice of bright colors and employee motives. The secrets of weaving have passed from generation to generation. The craftsmen used the insects, plants, roots, bark and other ingredients as a source of inspiration.
